The SvF Social Enterprise Pitch Forum provides an opportunity for current and future social entrepreneurs to present their business plan to a panel of judges, and to get meaningful feedback on their ideas and approaches. The session will focus on enterprises in four areas: Education, Environment, Health and Nutrition, and Urban Revitalization.
In the first portion of the forum, participants will have approximately ten minutes to pitch their business to a panel of venture capitalists and experienced social entrepreneurs, including a rigorous Q&A session. In the second half, participants and judges will engage in a discussion about strategies and best practices for pitching social enterprises to potential investors.
The Pitch Forum will provide an exciting opportunity for budding social entrepreneurs to refine their business models, to network with other like-minded individuals and investors, and to spark discussion about this growing field. We hope to see you there!
How to Participate:
All conference attendees are welcome to attend the session, but the number of business plans we can accept is limited. To apply to present your business plan in the SvF Social Enterprise Pitch Forum, submit a Power Point document of no more than four slides including the following information:
– Description of the company and business model
– Outline of the market, and the need the enterprise will meet
– Anticipated financial and social returns
– Members of the management team, if applicable
– Timeline and current status of business
Particular consideration will be given to up-and-running enterprises, but businesses at any stage of development—from ideation to implementation—are welcome to apply.
