Our Food and Environment

As part of SvF, the Food Systems & Environment Circle seeks to support entrepreneurs that are building innovative, scalable businesses that tackle issues related to food systems or the environment. We invest in businesses that benefit the environment and/or food security, especially in underserved communities. We provide patient capital and consulting services with the aim of helping these businesses to grow and widen their positive impact.

Our Focus

We seek to support ventures related to all aspects of food systems and the environment, including waste, water, conservation, energy, agriculture, and food distribution. By leveraging expertise of partners both within and outside of the University of Michigan, we aim to make meaningful contributions to food systems and environment ventures, and the investment ecosystem as a whole.
