Samir Malviya

SAMIR

Samir serves as a Principal at Patamar Capital, a venture capital firm focused on making investments in Asia’s fastest growing economies; he specializes in transaction execution and strategy assessment.  On behalf of Patamar, Samir sits on the board of LEAF and uPay. Prior to joining Patamar in 2012, Samir worked at Developing World Markets (DWM), an asset management firm based in New York where he originated debt and equity transactions for microfinance institutions based in SE Asia and Latin America. Prior to DWM, Samir worked at Ujjivan Financial Services, one of India’s largest microfinance institutions based in Bangalore. Earlier in his career, Samir worked as a financial analyst in the Investment Management Division at Goldman Sachs. Samir holds an MBA from the Stephen M. Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan where he is the Chairman of the Board of the UM Social Venture Fund. He has a Bachelors degree in Economics and Political Science from Northwestern University.
