Monika Johnson

Monika is an MS/MBA ’19 student at the University of Michigan’s Erb Institute for Global Sustainable Enterprise. She has focused her graduate experience on harnessing the power of business for improved social and environmental sustainability, particularly within the apparel labor supply chain and food and agriculture sectors. She is a Dow Sustainability Fellow and is passionate about cross-sector collaboration.

Prior to coming to Ann Arbor, she spent five years at the United Nations Foundation in Washington, DC, where she founded and directed a campaign called GenUN, which engages new constituencies—particularly young, diverse Americans—in the United Nations’ work on global health, sustainable development, human rights, and security. She is originally from Durango, CO and graduated from Michigan State University.

In short, this kind of question is loaded with damned if you do, damned if you don’t issues.
